Notes for Artist of Life

Liv Ullmann: "I do not want to arrive..."

I do not want to arrive at the end of life and then be asked what I made of it and have to answer, “I acted.” I want to be able to say, “I loved, and I was mystified. It was a joy sometimes, and I knew grief. And I would like to do it all again.”

- Liv Ullmann

Carl Gustav Jung: "The meaning of my existence..."

The meaning of my existence is that life has addressed a question to me. Or, conversely, I myself am a question which is addressed to the world, and I must communicate my answer, for otherwise I am dependent upon the world's answer.

- Carl Gustav Jung
